I would like to welcome current and prospective families to our school, Our Lady of the Annunciation (OLA) Catholic Primary School at Pagewood.
As principal of OLA, I am privileged to work with highly competent and skilled educators who are committed to developing quality learning programs for our students which both challenge and cater to the learning needs of all our students.
Our dual focus as a school is to nurture students ‘To be on earth the heart of God’ and at the same time, to inspire and empower students’ minds to be curious, connected and capable in all aspects of their learning.
We recognise and encourage the contributions made by our parents to the life of the school and seek continued opportunities for their involvement.
History Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic School began in 1962 as an infants school for the Parish of Pagewood. The first parish priest, Fr John Power, invited the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart to staff the school.
In 1964, the school was extended to become a primary school, co-educational from K–4 and then a girls only from Years 5–6. Another important change occurred in 1992, when boys’ education was extended to Year 6. The school is now co-educational from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Charism At Our Lady of the Annunciation, we celebrate the charism of Jules Chevalier and the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. We inspire each other to make a positive difference in our world and continue ‘To be on Earth the Heart of God’.
