At Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Primary School Pagewood (OLA), we nurture our students to become curious, capable and connected learners with high expectations of themselves. Our students are encouraged to take risks and understand how they learn best in order to reach their full potential. To guide students in achieving their personal goals, we believe it is essential to nurture their social and emotional wellbeing.
We respect the dignity of the learner and strive to empower our students with the skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We provide authentic opportunities for students to become lifelong learners who contribute to society on a global level.
Our students are encouraged to explore their curiosities, connect and collaborate to solve problems and think critically. Students are provided with opportunities to draw on their strengths, as they exercise choice to pursue their own passions and interests.
After each hour of learning, 10 minute ‘brain breaks’ are incorporated into the day to improve brain activity, engagement, focus and attentiveness.
The Third Teacher
At OLA, we have a third teacher allocated to each grade to help stream learning or provide further intervention or extension.
